Easy install and activation. Also purchased a chime but this device also works with all my Alexa devices. Can view my porch using the Alexa show. Initially had an issue with my tv switching to firestick when the bell rang but easily resolved by deactivating firesticks in the Alexa app for the doorbell device. This is my first ring doorbell and couldn’t be more pleased with performance and value!
The Ring Video Doorbell was simple to install. It didn’t take long because the wires from the old doorbell button were long enough to reach the Ring Video Doorbell button. It just took a couple of minutes to put the jumper on the old doorbell that supplies the power to the camera. It took a while to setup the motion sensing area on my phone app because I have a small decorative flag in front of my house that would create enough motion on windy days to set off the alarm. I did get the chime also for my wife to hear it ring and I selected a ringtone she liked, I just have to convince her to load the app on her smartphone so she’ll hear the doorbell while out in the yard especially when she’s expecting a package to be delivered.
