Our almost 3-year-old LOVES this! It is such a huge improvement over the lite-brites when I was little. Much smaller; battery-operated (don’t forget to grab some of those and a screwdriver); has a container attached that holds all the pieces (this is probably my favorite part). Also, there is a black foam layer behind the holes that ‘closes’ when you take a peg out and makes the opening mostly black so that you don’t have to have black construction paper on top for the design to show up clearly. Very best improvement though? There are now a handful of differently shaped pieces, instead of all being round pegs. Brilliant! Why in the world didn’t they do that when I was little?
I purchased this for my 4-year-old granddaughter who is crazy about My Little Pony. I love that several templates are included. She loves it!
