Can I use Walgreens cash points and get back cash points?

    • Allison

Yes. Just note you cannot get points, if you are using it with a SPEND booster. For example: Getting $5.00 in points when you purchase $20 or more. If you use points to pay you in that case you would not receive point on that transaction. I hope that makes sense.

No. If you look at the ad or online you can always tell by the language used. Both deals require you to “spend” $10 to receive the rewards. In a “spend” deal do not pay with rewards. Now if the ad had said “buy” 3 mouthwash or “buy” 3 toothpaste than the only requirement is to buy 3 and buy the right kind. In a “buy” deal it is possible to earn rewards while redeeming them. Once you have the language of “buy” or “spend” down you will always know if you can use rewards to pay.

Best explanation ever. Been couponing for many years now and am hesitant to use points.

Thank you so much. I’m glad it was helpful.

      • Deanna

Thanks for making that so clear!!

Does anyone know – Is it possible to do this deal more than once, in separate transactions of course? I couldn’t find the fine print on the deal to see if this is an “only one” deal per account.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi there! It appears the coupon above is a manufacturer coupon and will only apply once.

Yes and no. That type of deal is repeatable BUT you can’t duplicate the coupons in this instance. On the Listerine the $1 appeared in the newspaper last Sunday and there is a printable on coupons.online. I think though it probably is a limit of one. Today is senior day at Walgreens so there is the Senior20 discount available if you are a senior or grab your Granny to shop with you. The ACT coupons I think are gone from coupons.online If you coupon a lot it is worth getting a Sunday newspaper so you can repeat deals (buy with WAGS points or get friends to save theirs for you) and monitoring coupons.online for new coupons you might want to print. If these are products you use a lot it could still be worth it to you. If so scan through the Walgreens ad for “buy” deals (see my onlinement above) and have that one in mind. Buy your Listerine or Act, and than in a separate transaction pay for your “buy” deal with the Walgreens cash you earned on the Listerine/Act deal. Best to you.

Yes, thank you Amber and JD827 for responding. I understand about the $1 manufacturer coupon being a one time use only. I was wondering if the Buy $10 product to earn $5 WCR, if that was a repeatable deal. Even without coupons, it’s a great deal if you use the product. Thank you for the tips too. I always purchase the weekend paper and a family member gives me theirs for the coupons. Depending on the coupons inserted, I have been known to purchase a couple in fact.

I am an avid Walgreens Shopper! Nothing better! In fact I rave about Walgreens so much, my Granddaughter is now in love with Walgreens! She LOVES all the deals I get to lavish on her!

L, yes it is definitely repeatable even without coupons. You made me smile and happy talking about your granddaughter. My daughter is a Walgreens fan too and my 5-year-old granddaughter doesn’t get the math just yet but loves the bargains as well. 😄
