Post Cereal Customers May Qualify for a Class Action Settlement Payout – No Proof of Purchase Required
Post cereal customers may be eligible to file a claim in a $15 million class-action settlement against the cereal onlinepany. Two consumers filed the class action lawsuit in 2016 alleging that Post labeled its products with claims that made the products seem healthy, when the products actually contained high added sugar content.
The onlinepany denies all allegations of wrongdoing and maintains that the claims on its packaging are true. It will, however, provide the monetary settlement and it has also agreed not to use certain statements on its labels through the end of 2022.
Anyone who purchased eligible Post Cereals between August 29, 2012, and November 2, 2020 may file a claim. The products included in the settlement include a variety of flavors and sizes of Post Bran Flakes, Post Raisin Bran, Honeyonlineb, Waffle Crisp, Selects, Honey Bunches of Oats, Honey Bunches of Oats Granola, Shredded Wheat, Great Grains, Alpha-Bits, and Golden Crisp. A onlineplete list of qualifying products can be seen here.
Class Members submitting a valid claim form are expected to receive an average payment of $14.28, depending on the number of claims made and each claimant’s purchase history. Class Members who submit claims without proof of purchase will be subject to per-product caps based on an average use of four boxes per month. Claims submitted with proof of purchase will not be capped.
If you feel you qualify for a payment, your claim must be submitted online or postmarked by May 19, 2021. Head on over here for more information or to submit your claim online!
