Disneyland & Other California Theme Parks Set to Reopen April 30th
This pandemic has been pretty mouse-rible for Disney lovers! 😭
UPDATE! We have some exciting news for you Disney fanatics! The long-awaited reopening of Disneyland finally has a light at the end of a long, COVID-19 laden tunnel!
The iconic theme park is scheduled to be fully operational with limited capacity starting April 30th.
This news onlinees after California’s governor, Gavin Newsom, released new theme park guidelines and opening dates in what is being called his “Four-Tier Blueprint for a Safer Economy.”
Since March of 2020, California theme parks have been primarily shut down, only opening for special events or food festivals without the use of rides. The latest guidelines will allow major parks like Disneyland to open their gates beginning April 30th, allowing for limited park capacity.
This news isn’t just limited to Disneyland either, other major parks would also be following the same guidelines including Universal Studios Hollywood, Knott’s Berry Farm, Six Flags Magic Mountain, SeaWorld San Diego, and Legoland California!
While the progress is exciting, it is important to note that park admission is only limited to California residents at this time, and certain experiences that draw large group gatherings – such as parades and nighttime spectaculars – will return at a later date. As the risk level goes down, the parks will be allowed to increase capacity.
We’re happy to see the official April 30th reopening date! In the meantime, keep your fingers crossed 🤞 and maybe even wish upon a star 🌟 that soon everyone will be able to experience the magic of Disney once again!
