Excellent book! This series was reonlinemended to me by two avid fiction readers and was skeptical on how they hyped up this series. I have got to say Pierce Brown is an excellent writer and this is one of those book series that steadily gets BETTER with each novel! I know it’s hard to believe but trust me when I say Pierce sells a solid world and is a great 5-star book.

The first time I read this book was back in 1976. I was 16 years old and in the 10th grade. I really enjoyed it back then, but how very different the whole perspective of this book is when reading it again at 61 years old and having learned, experienced, and lived life to the point of retirement. It was like reading the book for the first time, but I guess because of my age and life experiences, this book was much more emotional and realistic, which made it a much better book!

I love this book so much, in fact, that I own it in several different formats and have read and/or listened to it in all. I first got the audiobook, but sometimes you miss things while listening and I was curious how some things were spelled, so I got the Kindle version as well. Then I wanted it on the bookshelf both for myself and in the hopes that one of my children will get curious and pull it down when the time is right. I highly reonlinemend this book for anyone who needs a little magic and sparkle in their life!
