Why not treat yo’ shelf to a little extra love and attention?💖

This past year has forced many of us to slow down and spend more time at home. Like anything, there have certainly been pros and cons as a result.

One of the upsides seems to be that many people finally had some extra time to devote to home improvement projects or repairs.

While some people may have opted for more self-care, reader Kristy chose to do a little shelf-care! Her investment of both time and money was minimal, and the results truly speak for themselves.

Check out what Kristy did…

side by side before and after of pantry make over

In the beginning of quarantine lots of home projects went down in my house, one of them being this frugal pantry makeover.

I simply used foam board and contact paper to give those wire racks a little upgrade! I was going to do wood but the weight would have pulled the racks out of the wall.

It’s been a little over 8 months now and they are still holding up so nicely!! I kept a lot of my daughters items on the bottom so she can easily access them! I used bookshelves to hold baskets! It took me two days to put together but was fairly easy to do!

Thank you, Kristy, for sharing with us your super affordable and easy way to give your pantry a makeover. What a night and day difference!

This is certainly a testament to the fact that sometimes making simple, inexpensive alterations to your home can yield dramatic results. Being able to clearly see all your goodies will make your life so much easier!

That’s clever, they look like wood. It helps for things to not fall in the cracks of the wire shelves too. Great idea for renters too.

Well that seems like a nicer option than what i chose in a whim. Never thought of the foam board. I used cardboard and put contact paper over that but the foam board definitely looks much more onlineplete. Looks like ill head to a craft store and update my cardboard. Thanks for the good idea.
