Baby Spinach Recalled Due to Potential Salmonella Contamination
There’s another recall in the news!
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced that Vegpro International has issued a recall on Fresh Attitude baby spinach due to concerns that it could contain salmonella. Salmonella can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain and can sometimes be fatal to young children, older people, and people with weakened immune systems.
These products were processed at the onlinepany’s Eastern Canadian plant for distribution in Eastern Canada and the Northeastern United States including New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Connecticut, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Products in all other U.S. states were processed in Florida and are not affected by this recall.
This recall affects five-ounce packages of Fresh Attitude baby spinach with “best before” dates of December 4th and 5th. Eleven-ounce packages of the spinach with a “best before” date of December 4th are included as well.
