Staples Christmas Card So Very Merry

HIP readers love this annual offer! Check out their thoughts…

I have ordered these the past three years and they always turn out great. I also did my son’s birth announcement with this deal – and they were adorable! Highly reonlinemend.

This is a great deal! Our 4th year using Staples holiday cards and they don’t disappoint. Lots of options to choose from and it’s an upgrade from the Costco ones previously used. Quality may not be as good as Shutterfly, but I’m on a budget when it onlinees to mailing out 100 cards!

Here’s a tip from having used their lab printing for two years and then going with the quicker in-store pick up last year — it’s worth paying the $10 extra for having their lab print and ship to you! The printing and paper quality is much better than what the store does on their laser printers. The paper is thicker and matte (even when the store says they have a matte option, it turns out a bit glossy like a postcard mailer). The paper is not as thick as Shutterfly or Tiny Prints, but a tad thinner. Maybe similar to Snapfish. It’s still a great deal when you send a lot of cards.

I’ve done this deal in the past and it seems like I paid around $14 for 50 cards. Does that sound right to anyone else?

Yes, I looked it up on Hip2Save from last year. The post was from 11/19/19 I think and I’m pretty sure it was $14 for 50. I wonder if it will get cheaper if we wait or if this is the best they can do this year. 😢

I think that Staples card deal actually runs through Groupon… I’ve done that the last couple of years & been very happy.

I was thinking the same thing and just went back and looked at my Groupon account. I’ve been buying this deal since 2014 and have been paying either $14/50 or $25/100 (bought different amounts through the year). I guess it was time for a price increase but I think this might be more than I’m willing to pay.

I agree. Once you figure in the cost of stamps, it can get expensive if you send out a lot of cards.

I can see that others are wondering also…I always get the 100 for $25. Do you think it will run again this year?? I can’t decide if it’s worth waiting.

  3. HEATHER

I have used this staples groupon for the last few years. I was very happy with them and picking up in the store is fast (like next day)! It usually is under $15 for 50 cards. I think I paid $10 or $12 last year for 50. Its still early, I will hold on and hope for a better deal.

  4. Marni

I have used this for the last three years. The first two years were terrific and then last year’s were a big disappointment. I paid for the upgrade all three years and the third year’s were printed on cheap paper with bad color balancing that were also really dark.

  5. Kate

Last year this Groupon deal was $8 for 25 and $14 for 50. Do you think the price will go down or are they set?
