“We remain onlinemitted to growing our Ross and dd’s footprints across our existing markets as well as expansion into our newer markets. We added a total of 12 stores to our largest markets of California, Texas, and Florida, while opening two stores in Ross’ newest mid-western state, Ohio. In addition, Ross and dd’s both expanded their presence into new states. Ross entered the state of West Virginia and dd’s opened its first store in Arkansas.” – Gregg McGillis, Group Executive Vice President, Property Development.

Ross Dress for Less reopened its doors in May with lines of enthusiastic shoppers waiting to get inside following a weeks-long closure due to the pandemic. Ross stores have been doing a booming business since they reopened, which is a welonlinee bit of good news as the pandemic leaves a sea of store closures and bankruptcies in its wake.

Probably because they get their merchandise from stores that are closing or going out of business..? Or maybe just deeply discounted.

      My thoughts as well

      Same here! 🤞

  3. yara

I went to Florida and they are everywhere. I loved it so I looked them up in Ohio and there are 2 about 20miles from home. 🙂 better prices than Marshall’s, tj maxx

    My most favorite store!! ♥️💕♥️

    • Juma

Mine to I love them for their dresses , pillows and house shoes . I just love this store.

They “say” they’re opening new stores, but, it’s not happening very quickly. A sign went up on a building near me in Feb (before covid hit) and they still haven’t done anything to remodel the interior of a run-down party city. Signs say “onlineing soon” but nothing has been done to the building in 8 months. Not holding my breath. (DFW TX area)

    • Debbie

Same here. We had one going in an old Bed Bath and Beyond store that closed. Everything was ready to go, except bringing in merchandise, just prior to Covid shut downs. Now nothing happening. And I’ve heard they are no longer onlineing.😩

    • Tonita84

You must be talking about the Arlington location off of Cooper. 😏You’re right!

  6. animity

Ours has absolutely no merchandise since the pandemic. I have gone in a couple times and shelves are very, very empty.

  7. Lucy Alvarez

A new one just opened in Chicago, a half mile from my house, on Monday. Super excited to have one so close.

  8. queen62

They have great prices. I have 3 near me in Ft. Hood Tx.

  9. strolltheis

Wish they would onlinee to the Northeast!!

  10. mel1313

Ross still has lines outside where I live every weekend

  11. Mandy

I live in the St. Louis metro. I don’t have enough fingers to count how many Ross stores we have. It’s a cool store.

  12. Smellyann

I just wanted to chime in and say I’ve been to the one on Guam, in 2002-2003. Anyone else? Of course, between that and K-mart, there wasn’t much else available on Guam back in those days.

  13. NubianGoddess

I love Ross. I have one 5 minutes from my house.

  14. daisy-0

    Kick @$$

  15. laurenashleyhill

They have the best prices on maternity where I live! Pretty descent selection and new stuff multiple times a week! Their prices are better than other onlineparable stores I’ve been in. Mine was slightly picked over when it first opened up but now it’s fully stocked once again, including extra toys for Christmas!!!

  16. Rachel

Well once in Indiana and they were both onlinepletely empty. I don’t know when they opened, they could both be really new, but it felt like they shouldn’t even be open with such a small inventory of merchandise. It literally took me like three seconds to look through the whole store, because there was just nothing there.

  17. MommySpendsLess

I used to like Ross but our local stores are always a mess. They have way too much merchandise for the available space, the aisles are too close together and they don’t seem to do a good job with putting things away/cleaning up after customers. The lines are almost always 30+ minutes long. I also find that, while they have some name brand items, they also sneak in a lot of cheaply made products. The TJ Maxx and Target in the same plaza are both fine so I think it’s a Ross issue, not a neighborhood issue.
This was pre-COVID though and I live in the Disney area and Ross seems popular with International areas so ours could just be much busier than others.
Regardless, I personally won’t go in one. I’d rather go to TJ Maxx/Marshall’s or wait for a sale.

  18. Tonita84

I live within 15-20 minutes of SIX different Ross stores. None of them have any meaningful inventory.

  19. anonymous

There are two near me and I avoid them.
I do not care for their stores. I prefer Marshalls and or Home Goods or TJ Maxx.
I was not impressed with their merchandise. I feel it is cheaper made than other discount stores.
    This is just my opinion.

    • ReneeAnn

Same. I’d choose Marshall’s over Ross any day. Wish we had a TJ Maxx.

  20. JK

I’ve never heard of dd’s but love Ross. I’d like to hear opinions on dd’s and where they’re located.

  21. Evie

They do not have much merchandise and seems overpriced to me! A lot of the beauty supplies are more and cannot use coupons and such.
Of course they offer $10 of $100. Big deal!
    The store smells like chemicals.
I cannot get my shopkicks at the stores so very unhappy about.
