30 States Recall Fresh Express Bagged Salads | Check Your Fridge

Approximately 30 states have recalled Fresh Express Bagged Salads for possible Cyclospora contamination.
The products included in this recall are salad mixes that include iceberg lettuce, red cabbage, and/or carrots. They will have a product code in the upper right-hand corner containing product code “Z178” or lower and have ‘Best By’ dates through July 14th. These products are typically sold by ALDI, Giant Eagle, Hy-Vee, Jewel-Osco, ShopRite and Walmart, according to the FDA.
Select store brands are also included in this recall, such as Walmart’s Marketside and ALDI’s Little Salad Bar. Find a full list of recalled salads here.
The CDC reonlinemends that you check your fridge for this bagged salad mix. If found, these products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase – even if it has been partially eaten and no one has gotten sick. If you have a recalled salad mix, you should discard it immediately. For a refund, fill out the contact form found here.
