Dollar Tree 2-Pack Disposable Face Masks

Heading into Dollar Tree soon?

Need a few disposable masks? Head to Dollar Tree where we spotted this Disposable Face Masks 2-Pack for just $1 – only 50¢ per mask!

We found ours located by the front registers, so if you can’t find them there or in the healthcare aisle, consider asking an employee if they have them available.

Note that the demand for these is high and availability will vary greatly by location.

These masks offer three layers of protection from dust, pollen, and more. They are not for medical purposes and are stated to be single-use only.

However, these masks are made using REAL elastic ear loops! That means when you’re done with them you can cut the elastic off to make cloth masks at home! This is awesome because many stores are currently sold out of elastic. We love it when deals keep going like that!

    Talk about inflation

I think is a great deal if you need a limited number of disposable masks. Yes, there are lower unit rates available but those often require a bulk purchase. If I happen to be at a Dollar Tree and they’re available I’ll probably pick up a couple packs to keep in my car. Two counties within driving distance require face covering in public – it will be nice to be able to abide by local orders if I have to make an unplanned stop.

What are they made of, tissue paper? They are see through in the picture, you can see the hand through the material! These would not be effective 🙁

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

I actually own these, Kathleen! They have 3 layers of what reminds me of as medium-weight interfacing. They would work just fine running errands around town, but I don’t think I’d wear them for an eight-hour shift at work.

I just went to my doctor this week. I was wearing a disposable mask and the nurse monitoring the entrance asked how long I had been wearing it. I was told that these masks are for very limited time frames and should be changed multiple times a day. They do not protect the wearer but everyone else from sneezes and coughs from the wearer. I got my disposables from Walgreens and they are super thin as well. Don’t get hung up on the thickness.

    • Rebecca

I keep seeing that but don’t understand how it can not protect the wearer but other ppl? If it protects other ppl from coughs & sneezes, wouldn’t it also protect the wearer from that?

      • Tuni

I also have the same doubt .. if it can prevent my cough droplets from going out .. wht wouldn’t it prevent something from onlineing in ..the same way .. nose mouth .. anyone ?

        • Kjt240

My husband is an immunologist. Masks like this protect most outgoing droplets from spreading as the droplets are bigger immediately after you respirate them. It does not protect you from the potential airborne microdroplets that may be hanging in the air from someone who passed that same place a few seconds ago as those droplets are much tinier and can be respirated in through the porous material when you breathe in.

            Thanks!!!

It works like a Kleenex. You can see through a Kleenex as well. The mask catches your sneeze and cough as well as a Kleenex does. However if you walk through a viral cloud in the air holding a Kleenex to your mouth and nose would you expect to be protected and that a virus wouldn’t penetrate the Kleenex? How about if you moved the Kleenex to speak to someone and touched a virus laden part? Think of these dust masks as a Kleenex and you have it down what they do.

Thanks found these! Happy to finally find something that fits my tweens. Also, happy to find hand sanitizer in stock too!!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

You are welonlinee, Amommy! I’m glad you found them!

  5. ColeyFro

I do like the idea of having them in the car as an emergency (I thought my mask was in my bag). Then you get to recycle the ear loop. Nice!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Same! I get caught off guard when I think my mask is in my purse and it’s not. Great idea about keeping them in the car.

  6. roeseeohh

I bought some maybe 6 months ago and they sold a 12 pack for $1… they were well made and came in handy. 2/$1 sounds like such an inflation due to demand.
