Disney Springs Will Begin Phased Reopening on May 20th
Disney is planning a gradual reopening of its Florida shopping onlineplex.
Although the rest of Walt Disney World Resort remains closed indefinitely, there will soon be signs of life at Disney Springs. The shopping, dining, and entertainment onlineplex is planning a phased reopening that will begin with a limited number of shopping and dining experiences reopening on May 20.
Guests can expect to see enhanced safety measures, including increased cleaning procedures, face coverings used by cast members and guests, and limited-contact guest services. Disney Springs will also have limitations on capacity, parking, and operating hours. Disney Springs Vice President Matt Simon said in a statement,
“As we continue to monitor conditions, and with the health of Guests and Disney Cast Members at the forefront of our planning, we are making several operational changes. Given this unprecedented situation, we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we navigate through this process as responsibly as we can.”
Additional changes may be announced closer to the opening date. If you live nearby and you’re planning to visit, keep checking DisneySprings.online between now and May 20 for the most current information.
