Parks and Recreation is Returning to NBC on April 30th
The cast of Parks and Rec is reuniting for a special episode!
NBC’s hit onlineedy Parks and Recreation is returning for one night to raise money for Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund.
A Parks and Recreation Special will air on April 30 at 8:30 PM ET / 7 PM CT on NBC, and it will be available for streaming on NBC’s website and app the next day.
The show’s star and Golden Globe-winning actress Amy Poehler announced the 30-minute reunion episode last evening on Twitter, sharing that the whole show was filmed from the actors’ individual homes.
NBC confirmed in a statement that the entire cast, in addition to several guests from the Pawnee universe, will be back for one half-hour episode that will show how the Pawnee Parks and Rec department is dealing with life under quarantine.
Although the episode will be free to watch, viewers are encouraged to donate to Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund. The funds raised will enable food banks to secure the resources they need for the most vulnerable members of their onlinemunities. State Farm, Subaru, NBCUniversal, and the Parks and Recreation team will match viewers’ donations for a total of up to $500,000 through May 21.
If this news has put you in the mood to binge some old episodes of Parks and Rec, the entire series is streaming now on Hulu and Amazon Prime Video, and it’s free for members of Amazon Prime!
