   Please, Please make sure you have a fire extinguisher in your kitchen! Yesterday, as we sat to eat our Christmas dinner my mom’s stove caught on fire! If she didn’t have a fire extinguisher handy, it would have been so much worse! I just ordered 6 to update ours and share.

  This fall my husband had an incident where the microwave splatter cover caught fire just sitting on the turned off (but hot) stovetop. Flames were all the way up to our microwave above the stove. We didn’t have a fire extinguisher but I bought one immediately after!! I never thought we would need one!! He put it out with water and it made a mess of melted/burnt plastic, but didn’t burn anything else in the kitchen, thank God. Get on this deal if you don’t have a fire extinguisher!!

  The other thing is to make sure you check your extinguisher at least once a year to see if it needs to be recharged. A lot of people don’t check that and then it would be useless if ever needed
