Funny. I was at dollar tree yesterday and overheard someone asking for mini trees. They were sold out. However, I found lots of stocking stuffers, including those black etch papers someone had mentioned on an end cap.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh wow! The seasonal items do sell out quickly at my store! Glad you could find those papers! I will be looking for them in my store later today!

  2. Jennifer

I didn’t see them in my store either. I did grab some carmex lipbalm, nail polishes, and some of the multicolored modeling clay for stockings. Also, those Snyder six bags of mini pretzels are great to throw in lunch boxes on the cheap.. about $.17 per bag for a quick snack!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

YES! Love those little bags of pretzels! I grab them a lot! Thanks for the heads up on what you spotted in your store!

    • ReneeAnn

If you have young kids do plenty of supervision of the modeling clay! I didn’t realize my son had clay residue still on his hands and he wiped them on clothes and fabric furniture and it’s impossible to get out!

They have a great selection this year. Yesterday I made the ugliest, tackiest Christmas sweater you can imagine for $6. I bought 6 items from the Dollar Tree and attached them to a red shirt I had at home. I’m pretty sure I will win this year at work for the Ugly Sweater contest.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

SO awesome! I’m loving that idea, Darla! Hoping you win! 🤞🎄

Thank you! I just went & got a tree & decorations for a perfect elf on the shelf night

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Aww, What a cute idea! You’re so welonlinee!

  5. momof5kidsunder8

These are so cute! Last year I started a tradition with one that each of my kids gets their own mini tree. They absolutely love it! I went and picked up a couple more as back ups since little kids arent always gentle.

  6. Debbie

just a tip for these trees… double them up .. put 2 together to get a nice fuller tree for $2

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Great idea, Debbie! Thanks for the tip!

  7. midgetfrog18

I know someone who uses 6 of the trees to make a wreath in a star of david type shape, adds a bow and some pinecones, and its beautiful! You could also add a saying, fake cardinals or ornaments, or fake snow to make different looks.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

I have seen that before too! SO pretty! Thanks for sharing with us!

My local Dollar Tree had a treasure trove of goodies yesterday!!!

Highlights : Barbie brand Chelsea babies with bottles, Barbie clothes and accessories, Lisa Frank Velvet coloring pages, sketch books and yes2 face masks!!! Also, awesome variety of fun snack foods :Wasabi peas, Mexican chile peanuts, coconut chocolate flakes and (for my less adventurous kids) big Bags of cheez-itz, rits bits, and loads of holiday themed Russell Stover themed candy. Teacher gifts :Peppermint spoons and nestle gift – pack hot chocolate!!!!!

I have no control in this store … But with 5 kids at Christmas, you can’t beat it!!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh wow! Sounds like you found some GREAT items! Thanks for the heads up on what was in stock at your location!
