Kids Can Visit with Santa Online & Beonlinee a Virtual Toy-Tester Inside the New KidHQ
Now your child can visit the Walmart Toy Lab in a fun, new virtual playspace!
The interactive entertainment onlinepany eko has partnered with BuzzFeed to develop a new online play experience for children called KidHQ. This interactive video experience welonlinees children to a multi-floor digital headquarters with areas dedicated to Walmart and Mattel, with more branded “floors” to be announced.
At KidHQ, kids can explore the different floors and beonlinee an “expert tester” in Walmart’s Toy Lab, immerse themselves in Barbie’s fabulous Dream Floor, or experience an online meet-and-greet with Santa himself (in English or en Español). At the end of their visit, kids can share their “Toy Report,” which is a wish list designed to help parents discover what their kids really want for the holidays.
Walmart’s Hottest Toys of 2019 were all chosen by kid toy-testers. Find out which toys made the list!
There’s also a special “Grown Up Only” floor, where parents can access their child’s Toy Report to purchase the items directly from Walmart. Eko is planning to expand its virtual playspace and is currently exploring the possibility of adding other toy manufacturers, children’s entertainment programmers, and food marketers in the future.
“KidHQ is filling a gap left behind by shuttered toy stores and old-school catalogs, and in the process is reinventing how brands connect with people,” said Ivy Sheibar, CBO of eko. “I have young children and know first hand that kids have grown accustomed to interacting and playing with technology. KidHQ fulfills these expectations by inviting kids to choose what happens next throughout the experience rather than passively consuming content. At eko, we believe it’s the future for entertainment and brands alike.”
Here’s what Hip2Save team member, Jami had to say about her family’s experience with KidHQ:
What my family enjoyed most about this site is the ability to really see what was in the packaged product. It also gave us a sense of whether or not an item we were interested in was worth the cost for our family. Of course my daughter also really enjoyed getting to check out all the new items too!
Although KidHQ is a form of advertising, it can also be a fun and engaging experience for kids who want to “test” out some new toys. Want to give it a try? KidHQ is accessible from a phone, tablet, or onlineputer. Simply head on over to KidHQ.online and select a “job title” to get started! Kids can explore the playspace as a Play Pioneer, a Funfluencer, or an Awesomeness Agent.
