  I’m aware. Worth the risk, to me. My genetic data is likely of less concern to most onlinepanies than my Internet use data which I happily agree to hand over with every opening of an app, though at least with the genetic data it may help solve a crime or be used to develop a new medication. Privacy is important, but with so many people using all of these services, an individual’s data is really not anything more than a tiny blip on the massive data graph. Though I agree it’s good to read up on.

  As long as you are up to date on the kits terms and conditions. There is a way to scrub your data with this onlinepany specifically at least. Unfortunately unlike the information at your doctors office these datasets aren’t covered under Hippa and FDA has non existent protections for consumers.

  The implications here are much far reaching & definitive than data collected on online searches, apps, websites etc. Yes, crime solving and drug research is good applications but another not so good one is using your data to raise insurance rates on people you are related to without them even knowing about it.
