This Cheese Advent Calendar is onlineing to Target Stores in November
This Advent calendar is cheesy in all the right ways! 🧀😍
In 2016, food blogger Annem Hobson of So Wrong It’s Nom created a handmade prototype for a cheese-filled Advent calendar that garnered a lot of excitement on social media.
The following year, she partnered with Norseland, Ilchester (owners of popular cheese brands such as Applewood, Mexicana and Jarlsberg) to mass-produce the calendar and sell it in grocery stores across the U.K.
Last year, the Ilchester Cheese Advent Calendar found its way to the U.S., where it landed on the shelves of roughly 250 Target stores. And rumor has it that this year it will be sold at Targets nationwide and will also be available at grocers like Supervalu, Sprouts, Schnucks, Meijer, Jewel, Lidl, and Publix!
We can expect to see this Advent calendar hitting the shelves of U.S. retailers in November, where it’s expected to retail for around $20.
In the past, the Ilchester Cheese Advent calendar has featured 24 individually wrapped cheeses with 5 different varieties including Jarlesberg, Applewood, Mature Cheddar, Red Leicester, and Wensleydale with cranberries. While it does need to be refrigerated, the calendar’s ‘book style’ packaging allows one half of it to be torn off after the initial 12 days to minimize the amount of fridge space required.
ALDI’s Wine & Cheese Advent Calendars are back starting November 6th!
