Trader Joe’s is Releasing an Advent Calendar for Cats
Because cats love Christmas too!
Now your fur baby can count down to Christmas with the rest of your family because Trader Joe’s is launching an Advent calendar full of “magical treats made of salmon and seaweed!”
The feline Advent calendars were announced during the Captain’s Meeting episode of “Inside Trader Joe’s,” a podcast where hosts Tara Miller, TJ’s marketing director, and Matt Sloan, vice president of product marketing, give a behind-the-scenes look at what’s going on at Trader Joe’s.
Colin Fields, vice president of merchandising, was a guest on this episode of the podcast and spoke about the onlinepany’s plans to release an Advent calendar for cats.
Last year we came out with the dog advent calendar, which seemed pretty odd until we got it out into the stores and there was quite a following for it, and we heard from our feline-loving customers that we should have something for their cats. So we found it, we developed it and it’s pretty cool.
After sampling one of these treats, Sloan onlinemented, “You know what? That’s not good. But I’m not a cat.” 🤣 This may be a podcast worth subscribing to if you’re not already a fan!
Fields quickly reassured listeners that “If you’re a cat, you’ll really like that. And after eating 24 of them, your twenty-fifth one will be a gigantic one, shaped like a fish.”
