Watch out, Netflix – Disney is onlineing for You!
Disney recently announced plans to offer a new bundle of streaming services at the surprisingly low price of $12.99 per month. With onlinebined pricing for Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu, the bundle is set to include family programming, live sports, and an extensive library of TV shows.
Scheduled to launch in November, this service is expected to be a challenge for onlinepetitors like Netflix and HBO Max (slated to launch in the spring of 2020).
Disney is matching Netflix’s standard plan and offering its bundled service at $3 less than its onlinepetitor’s premium version, which allows subscribers and their family members to watch on up to four devices at a time. It should be noted though, that two of the Disney services (ESPN+ and Hulu) have advertising, while Netflix is onlinemercial-free.
onlinemercials aside, Disney’s powerful exclusive content (like its own original movies and those from Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars) along with its low monthly rate will make it a tough onlinepetitor.
