This is a replacement for a 35 year old unit. It did require upgrading to a 4″ duct from the original 3″ version. It was worth the effort. The fan actually removes the moist air and I have yet to have any condensation on the bathroom mirror after taking a shower. And, it is quiet. Based on its cost, my expectations were exceeded. I made this upgrade while in the process of a little remodel on the floor above.
