  You can buy non-OEM toner cheap on Amazon or eBay. Just be sure to read the reviews. I bought 3 for $30 and it worked fine.

  When you bought the non EOM toner, did you buy the ones with the IC Chip, or without the IC Chip?

   I’ve had the previous (#2380) model for several years and have been very pleased with it. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy this model if in the market for a printer.

  No, it does not. It uses toner which does not dry out like ink does.

   I purchased this one as well for the same price and LOVE IT! Purchase replacement cartridges on eBay and got a great price. Well worth the $. I keep a small separate printer for color projects.
