I’m throwing a graduation party for my son (preschool) and my husband (college) this weekend. I bought this as a guest book for my son and “Oh, the sh!t you don’t know” for my husband 😂

  2. MaaMaaBear

Great price! I just paid $11 for this and thought that was a deal!

I’ve given this book to my niece and nephew on their HS graduation and to my 2 boys, the older one on his college graduation and the younger one on his HS graduation. We passed it around during the party and let everybody write a little note. My younger son even brought it with him when we dropped him off to college 🙂

How sweet! Thanks for sharing with us, Riss!

I work at a school and there’s a mom that has had every teacher her daughter has ever had sign this book, each May and saving it for a graduation gift!

I’ve been doing this for my daughter since Pre-K. She’s in 4th grade now. It’s wonderful to read what her teachers write about her every year. I can’t wait to give it to her at her high school graduation. Oh the tears!!

      • Joy

I would caution anyone doing this to make sure you are okay with the chance that this book could possibly disappear forever when it changes hands so many times as it gets passed around. Last year our very large high school lost a student’s book who was graduating. It took over a week for us to finally find it. What a disappointment that would have been had we not found it.

    • Kate

We do this too. It takes a village and I have all members of their “village” sign it. 🙂

Are there enough blank pages to do this, all the way to high school?

      • Bobbi

I have my daughter’s teachers sign it every year. They sign it in any space they can find around the story, not really on blank pages.

        • L

I would suggest when getting to high school and junior high asking only the teachers that your child talks about with frequency. Additionally, providing the teacher with a label to write on with a self-addressed stamped envelope (and then sticking it in the book yourself) would help with the circulation issue. Or you could ask them to email and print it yourself. We do this for my sons who are elementary student right now and that is my plan for high school. Btw, I am a high school teacher and this is just my perspective.

Thanks! I have been wanting to get this for awhile but it was always pricey. My son is in 4th grade but better late than never. Got it for $6.35 with tax after using the $2 code from the coke rewards promo 🙂

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Awesome! You’re welonlinee, TS!

  6. MollyMi

Awesome! I was needing one for my daughter! I bought one long ago when hip2save advertised a good deal on it and just started with his pre-k teacher signing his book. I can’t wait to start this tradition with my daughter too! Though thinking ahead, what do you do when you get to middle school/ high school? Just pick a few of the kid’s favorites or be that crazy mom who chases down all the teachers s/he had during the year? 😂

    • Bobbi

I’m going to have all of my daughter’s teachers sign it. Of course, I teach at her school, so they all know me. I will be teaching her next year, so I guess I’ll sign it too. 🙂

    • L

I just posted a suggestion in another place in this thread if you’d like to read it!

I bought this book for my daughter for ~$12 and thought that was a good price. Definitely snagging this for my son. Thanks!

You’re so welonlinee! Happy you can grab the deal!

I have been getting my son’s signed every year since kindergarten. He’s a senior now, so I will finally get to give it to him! I just sent it to the school to have the last round of teachers sign it.

    • Evan

My son is a Sr too. I started his in 5th grade. We are 23 days from a Graduation & I’m so anxious to read the onlinements. Need to take my daughters to her school for her 7th grade year. It’s never too late to start it.

Each of my kiddos have a copy, they are 1st and 3rd grade. Since preschool at the end of the school year we ask their teacher to write them a note inside the book.
