I bought Croak on clearance at Target and it malfunctioned after 24 hours. It makes a horrible repetitive noise in the regular play mode. We use it in the try me mode only now and that’s okay, but it was disappointing and it’s limited on what it can do in the try me mode. So, maybe we got a bad one, but I wanted to let others know.

My son got one of these for Christmas (from a hip2save deal at Best Buy i believe) at one point his did this. I replaced the batteries it came with a d it has been great ever since. Maybe try that?

Had to replace the batteries in mine straight out of the box and then worked great.
