   Christmas books are so expensive when they aren’t on sale and I looked everywhere for them for cheaper like thrift and consignment stores and finally gave up this year. The ones from the dollar bin at Target probably weren’t worth a dollar (the book titled Rudolph the red nose reindeer didn’t even have Rudolph in it except on the cover). I was happy to find several really nice ones for $2 or less in the Walmart clearance section. They still had a good selection last time I was there so it’s worth checking out!

   Our public library has a book sale and I always find amazing things. Hardcover, recent titles for 10 cents a book! Usually the sale after Christmas is a great time to look because people are cleaning out their kids rooms to make room for new stuff! I wrap them and my kids open one book a night between thanksgiving and Christmas. It’s part of our countdown to Christmas and a great bedtime routine with all the excitement around the holidays!

   Our local Walmart had their X-Mas books 75% off last week. Not sure if they are still doing that sale or not. I got most books for between $1-$2 a piece. I did not however stock up. Just got what I needed and left the rest for others.

   My Barnes and Noble had all of their children’s Christmas books half price last week. I got some great hard cover classics for next year!

   Nice, lots of great deals on Xmas and also some Hanukkah books! I got merry Christmas Daniel tiger (3.49), snowmen at Christmas (3.49), latke the lucky dog (3.99) and Grover’s eight nights of light (3.49) if folks are looking for more ideas!

   This sale isn’t as good as the Walmart clearance. We got Merry Christmas Curious George, How the grinch stole Christmas, Thomas the train Christmas , and 4 more Christmas books that I hid away for next year all for $13!
