  5. Dana

It appears to work on only the black?

    • Ashley

      I’m seeing this too

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hmm, I still find it to apply to the other colors. Are you adding two to your cart? If so, maybe try again in a different browser OR switch to desktop view if using a mobile device. Hoping that helps!

Can you run the amazon kids program off of these?

    • Wassup

Yes I’m wondering that too. If I buy this can I add on the amazon kids FreeTime?

      • Raquel

I bought them last year and we have the kindle kids freetime on them.

  7. Aleshia

I have an absolute love hate relationship with the kids fire. They are the best kid friendly and educational tablet on the market, but they have so many glitches. This past week alone 2 of our 4 tablets went into Amazon system recovery mode. I have had them for 6 months. Their warranty system is a nightmare. You have to call and believe me when I say you will spend no less than an hour explaining and troubleshooting with customer support. Then you have to mail it in to be seen if it can be fixed. They will then send it back or mail you a new tablet. This process takes 10-14 business days. I have had to return my son’s tablet twice already. He will be going on his 3rd in a year and it is always an Amazon update glitch. My daughter will be on her 2nd. The process it frustrating and we have lost more than half of their free time and they will not onlinepensate for that.

I know the feeling. I simply returned my son’s Kids Edition Edition tablet. I even hate trying to add things to his profile as it doesn’t always add it… I bought him a regular tablet instead since my history with those is excellent. It seems like the Kids Edition aren’t built as well.

      • Aleshia

Did you just download freetime to it like others had mentioned doing?

    • Cbeths

Oh wow. I have never had no much trouble with the warranty. I have 2 of the kids fire tablets. And I have returned them 3 times. The chat being port on these things are weak. And my kids play with theirs plugged in. I am simply VERY firm when I chat with them about my broken tablet. “It is broken. I have a two year, everything is covered warranty. I need the tablet replaced.” Usually in 10-15 I have my label printed and getting it shipped to them.

  8. Tara Farhad

It looks like it has to be 2 of the same color. When I did 2-red, it worked but 1 red and 1 yellow, it did not. Thank you!

  9. arliecrabtree

I wonder if this is actually a better deal than buying from Amazon. If I buy from Amazon it is 75/kindle, but includes a case, free time unlimited for a year, and a two year guarantee.

    • Aleshia

Their 2 year guarantee is a joke. Be prepared to spend no less than an hr on the phone troubleshooting. Sending it back and waiting 10-14 business days for it to be fixed or replaced. Only for it to happen again and again and again. They make you send it back to be looked at as proof you aren’t lying. You will also lose a ton of free time and they will do nothing to onlinepensate for that.

    • Cbeths

I have not had any trouble with the two year warranty. And it was definitely worth quite a bit to me. I have a 2 and 6 year old. They do have to go a week without the tablet when they break it. Usually it’s their fault. So, it’s kind of a lesson learned on their part. Try the chat for warranty returns.

    • Kland

      It was 49.99 12/17 when I chcked

  10. Sarah

Buying one at $50 is still an awesome deal!!!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi Sarah! You can still score two for $39.99 each! That offer is still applying for me as listed above! Hope that helps!

      • LMP

Bummer it expired before I had the chance

  11. Kland

You will NEVER get the yellow, don’t bother. After many hours online and on the phone with customer service I am ready to pull my hair out. Their website is not consistent and it barely works. You have to buy 2 but be warned, the drop down box does not work. You have to add one by one. If you have to go back to the screen, you will then wade thru advertising in your cart to entice you to add on accessories, which is annoying. (So I purposely will not,) If you want 5 as I did, you must buy 6. If you want them shipped, at some point in the order you can ship all to the same add. Sometimes it automatically reverts to a store (not even in my state) My first order had my 2 doing that. I had to cancel 3X to get it straight. Sometimes you can only order black, sometimes blue,. Once you order and try an additional order you may get red, that’s how that worked for me. PS Sometimes you will be offered a gift message and no receipt, others you will not so pay attention to the details. One order allowed one blue one black. The second order allowed 2 blue. Customer service online chat or the phone can only cancel the order. They can not add to an order. They can not honor or price match the previous order I just made for a certain color at the lower price. If you cancel one at 39.99, you will be charged 49.99. Even tho it is their fault because you have to place multiple orders. I HATE BEST BUY

  12. Di

I can’t get the deal to work no matter what I try. I tried different color onlinebos, just black, and even chatting with Best Buy. They will only take $5 off each. Am I missing something?

  13. Jess

Seems to only let you save $10 total now… bummer
