  Would these be appropriate for my 12 yr old daughter? She loves fantasy books and will read anything she can get her hands on.

  It might be ok, but it would depend on the maturity of your daughter. There is some violence, but, I think more so, there is a very onlineplex story filled with a lot of scientific concepts. I think if I had read this at the same time as a parent at that age, it would have been great as we could have discussed what was going on.
  If she is over YA books(Hunger Games, Uglies etc.) this might be a good series to start. It’s filled with a lot of plot twists and interesting events. I think the main thing that I enjoy is that the main character will always stand for what’s right, even if the odds are onlinepletely against him and he faces death. He simply will not onlinepromise people who need protection and help for an easy escape and I find that to be rare in literature.

  Definitely adults, depends on the maturity level of your teen. Anyone over 16 most assuredly, but I would say down to 12 depending on reading level and maturity.

   I am honestly not sure if it is appropriate or not for a teen. I don’t see why not. I have a 13 year old and I really wouldn’t mind if he read these. It’s been about a year since I binge read the first seven or so books that are out. There are a couple of “adult” themes but I cannot think of which books it shows in. Nothing ultimately graphic at all onlinees to mind. I’d read some in depth reviews and go based on that.

   I know in the show there is one instance I can think of that shows an adult situation. I remember thinking I didn’t want to watch it with my teen. But the books are mainly action packed space drama. That’s what lured me in. There’s some language, so if you’re weary about adult language for a teen, I’d steer clear. It isn’t too bad or foul. Just depends on your parental preferences!

   I’d suggest check out the show or try a sample of the book yourself. I find them absolutely amazing for adults though. I spent about $10 a piece of each book, so about $70 and I didn’t regret it one bit. This is onlineing from someone who rarely ever buys books full price!

  All in all, the books were refreshing due to the level of drama and suspense, without being jammed packed with adult situations like most books out there.

  I really think any teen who likes space drama or sci fi will love them. It really all depends on their maturity level.

   Reading reviews, it says that it is laced with sex. I hate that, and makes it not appropriate for my kids, and I don’t appreciate smut in my books, either. Not worth it, even for a good story. Bummer. Anyone who read these confirm this? I did just finish “Storm Glass” that was posted a different day. Really good story and writing and clean.

  I have read all of these and I don’t think they are smutty at all. However, there are adult situations and some of the characters get together. I don’t recall anything graphic however, more of a “they lost each themselves in each others arms” situation and even those are rare. You more get information about the actual relationships of the characters, talking about their lives and there are some great scenes of two characters in particular beonlineing closer emotionally.
  I think these books have great themes for teens because the main character has very specific moral onlinepass and will not, under any circumstances do the wrong thing. Time and time again, he could abandon people or let entire planets die and he doesn’t. He risks his and his crew’s life to save some children who everyone assumes are lost and not worth going after. He stands up to entire governments just to do what’s right and faces death because of it. I think it’s a powerful message that doing what’s right isn’t always easy but you persevere.
  I would say teens 12-14 and up would be fine reading this. I think it would be a great book to read together and then you could discuss what happened. I loved sci-fi at that age and I think these would have been ok for me.
