I have curly hair that I need to diffuse to get any sort of volume. I couldn’t tell you how long it took me to dry my hair before I purchased this Dyson, but I’m down to under 15 minutes now using the lowest setting. I would purchase it again if it died tomorrow if that tells you anything… Definitely, reonlinemend!

I used my friend’s while visiting and didn’t think it was anything special. It didn’t dry any faster but it’s heavier than my normal one so I felt like it was more work. I have thick hair that takes forever to dry even at the salon.

I got this as a Christmas gift. Even though it was a gift I really wanted to hate it because of the price, but I LOVE it. It cuts drying and styling time down, leaves my hair looking like I came out of the salon. My hair has also finally grown, my hairdresser has even noticed a difference in my hair since I’ve been using it.

There is a big difference between the professional and the low-cost dryers. I have thick hair and the cheap hair dryers took forever and my professional dryer is quicker, more temperatures, more powerful and the quicker dry I feel doesn’t leave my hair as frizzy or damaged. Think about when you go to the salon and they dry your hair vs when you use a cheap hotel wall dryer. To me, that is the difference.

I had it and returned it, my Babyliss hair dryer was faster and leaves my hair smoother. My hair was quite frizzy with the Dyson.

I’ve had mine for over two years and love it. Bought my boyfriend’s mom one for Xmas this past year because she loved using mine when they’d onlinee to stay for a visit.

    Any one have used this?

I received mine as a gift, but I would replace it in a heartbeat if something ever happened to it.

I have extremely thick, curly hair. Normally to straighten my hair, it would take me about an hour, then I would have to work it with a curling iron. With the Dyson, I’m down to about 20 minutes, and I don’t have to use my curling iron at all, unless I want to actually curl my hair.

It does take a while to get used to, but once you get the hang of it, no issues.

400$ for a hairdryer and it still takes twenty minutes? That’s so expensive for a hairdryer, just a hairdryer! Crazy wasting that amount. For that price, I would think it would at least dry hair in two minutes, or spray liquid gold in.

I also have thick, curly hair, which I keep curly. I have to diffuse to get any sort of volume, and this dryer cut my dry time from 45 minutes to 10-15. I’d purchase it again as well.

I agree I have thick and wavy hair my hair would take around 40 minutes and I can dry it in about 15 minutes. I love it. It is light weight and powerful. I know it is expensive and I probably would of never purchased for my self but my FIL bought me a refurbished one last year for Christmas. I would repurchase if it ever died.

I agree. My husband bought this for me last Christmas and I wanted to hate it because of the price, but I LOVE it. It cuts my drying time down by a landslide. I have extremely thick and long hair.

Need some review before I buy

My hair dresser uses one and I have pretty thick hair. I will be honest, I wanted one for the promise of faster drying time but I really saw no difference in time or that it made any difference in my hair. 😩

I purchased this over a year ago when it was on sale at Ulta and there was a 20% coupon that would pair. Best purchase I ever made! My hair used to take 30-45 minutes to blow dry and now I’m down to 10-15 and have less heat damage to my hair. I also use it on my daughter’s thick hair with the same results.

Ahhh I want the air wrap so bad!

  6. Angie

I have super thick hair and I did not find it to be faster than my $100 dryer I have had for 7 years. It was also heavier and harder to hold due to the large cord. Very disappointed. I returned mine, sadly.

  7. ac

crazy wasting time onlineplaining about somebody elses purchase.

  8. L

I absolutely love mine! It would take close to 45 min to dry my hair and now I’m down to 10. My hair looks and feels healthier. I actually bought mine on qvc. They run great onlinebo packs.

  9. TammyH

We bought one for my 11 yrs old daughter last year because she has really thick and long hair. She loves it bc it takes less time to dry her hair and especially her hair not getting stuck like the regular one

I absolutely LOVE mine. I don’t splurge very often for myself but his was something I bought. If you have thick hair this is worth every penny.
