So here is my personal opinion on buying Lego sets, take it for whatever it’s worth…my husband and I have bought a LOT of lego sets for our kids (4 and 7). Our kids LOVE legos! Our opinion is that if you want them to be fun you have to buy sets that actually have the good pieces that make building fun. Pieces such as hinges, arches, thick baseplates (not the crappy ones that can be bent easily) etc…the best example I can think of this is the Lego Creator Treehouse set, here’s the link for reference: LEGO Creator Treehouse Adventures 31053 Building Toy https://www.amazon.online/dp/B01CU9WZGK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_oLK9BbHSTQFMR
We bought this set a years or so ago when it was less and it was an awesome set. Easily one of the best we’ve ever bought. It has a lot of great pieces. It has hinges that make it so you can create hidden doors on the treehouse and a ladder that onlinees up. Basically a lot of moveable pieces. Something else I’ve noticed that my kids love are the figures. You gotta have some good figures they like playing with. The sets being sold like the one in this post are great for adding to a Lego collection to have extra basic pieces, but I would reonlinemend finding a really cool set that your child might like first and then adding to it with the set mentioned in the post. I’ve currently got my eye on this set because it’s looks like it has some fun pieces in it: Lego Creator Treehouse Treasure 31078 Building Set (260 Piece) https://www.amazon.online/dp/B07DMX9WMH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_6TK9Bb12N144V
Sorry for the insanely long post, but I hope this is helpful!
