  I think it is a great deal. You never know with Amazon. I got my son his old one for $49.99 during Black Friday two years ago. I don’t think it could hurt and it onlinees with a case and they don’t also do such a cheap bundle.

  The only thing is this one is only 16GB, and ours is 32, and I’m constantly having to delete stuff because everything downloads so easily. 16 isn’t enough for us or I totally would just buy new ones!

  Yes, you can however there’s not much space. I bought one a few months ago at Best Buy for $25 and they reonlinemended a memory card which was about $15. My 8-yr-old has added lots of things and it still runs very well.

  They are pretty similar, except this one is about 1/10 of the price. They also have a replacement guarantee – no questions asked. It is SUPER durable and pretty easy to use overall. My only onlineplaint about it is that it doesn’t have a mechanism to freeze the content on the screen (so that touching it doesn’t stop/alter what they’re watching) – and that’s hard when you have a 2 year old! I can’t imagine there is anything better out there for the price.

    This is an amazing price, I bought 2 for my daughters years ago for $79 each. You can add an SD card later I think. Freetime can be taken off after the free trial (or could in years past) if you don’t want to pay for it monthly. It is very easy to set parental controls so they cant download or buy things on the amazon account. The 2 year worry free warranty is amazing, I had to send my kid’s back 3 times between the two tablets bc the charging port stopped working but they were also being extremely rough ripping the cord out. They always send a new one right away before even receiving the broken one.

    I purchased this over a month ago for my now 8 month old since my cell phone is off limit for kids. This keeps her attention long enough for me to onlineb her hair. She pretty much listens to the alphabet song over and over again. This is such a great deal. I purchased another one as a Christmas gift for someone.

    I paid $ 93.00 for a 32 gb 8″ screen kids package . (Warranty,protective case, etc) so I don’t think it’s a bad price, but I don’t think it’s that great either.

I’ll just skip a couple starbucks runs lol. I wanted the 32 g new hd kindle 8, but that will still be $90 on black Friday. It’s for a 4 year old so I think this will work great and give him the wow factor. Thank you!!!

  Hi, T! I think it’s the newest generation. The 5th gen only had 7 hours of battery life and measured 8.6″ x 5.4″ x 1″ and the new one has 8 hours of battery and measures 8.7″ x 5.5″ x 1″ – which matches what is on HSN’s listing. Hope this helps!

  You don’t have to use a Mastercard. You can use a Visa or another major debit/credit card, just be sure to use Masterpass. It’s kind of like Paypal.

    My pediatrician says it is okay in moderation and if you choose good educational shows or games. We have one for my 2 year old – he only uses it while we travel. It has been great for me – as I often travel with him alone – and he’s learned so much from some of the shows. And there are lots of books too, which is neat.

    I think it’s important to follow your instincts as a mom and not follow everything your pediatrician says blindly. I love ours but he has told us things at times that I don’t agree with. I always trust my gut.
