Duncan Hines Cake Mix Recalled Due to Salmonella Outbreak

If you have Duncan Hines cake mix in your pantry, check the “use by” date on the box as it may be affected by this new cake mix recall. Health officials recently discovered a positive finding of Salmonella in a retail sample of Duncan Hines Classic White cake mix, which may be linked to a Salmonella outbreak that is currently being investigated by the CDC and FDA.
As a result, Conagra has decided to voluntarily recall select Duncan Hines Classic White cake mixes with best if used by dates of March 7th – 13th, 2019. They are also recalling three other varieties (Classic Butter Golden, Signature Confetti, and Classic Yellow) made during the same time period out of an abundance of caution. The recalled varieties, product UPC numbers, and “best if used by” dates are listed below:
