I recently flew on Frontier for the first time in June. Took two trips. I was very hesitant to try Frontier, because I normally fly on Southwest or United. I must say, I am VERY impressed with Frontier! Nice planes, nice new seats, and friendly flight attendants (both trips).
One very helpful tip – when you click on their best sales fare feature, be sure to select “Month View” (not “Week View”). Gives you a better idea of when you can fly cheaper!
In addition, through September 20th, Southwest Airlines is hosting a Nationwide Sale and offering Wanna Get Away flights for as low as $59 each way.
Note that a 14-day advance purchase is required and travel is valid on select dates from September 18th, 2018 through March 6th, 2019.
