   I am going to China for the first time next week! Got a good deal on Delta. Never thought much about travelling there, but now that I have been researching, there is so much to see. Reminder that you will need to get a visa before you go. It is $140 and you generally need to go through a onlinepany that specializes in visas, so that is also a cost, which came to $250 total for one visa.

  I’ve been to Macau and Shenzhen and love it. But I wish I’ve gone to Shanghai too. If you have more time you can go to HongKong by boat and train. Maybe and hour or 2? Can’t remember. If I’m not mistaken you don’t need visa to enter HongKong. Enjoy your vacation!!!

   I went to Asia with China Airlines and United, they are the worst. The service was so bad and with United they gave us instant noodle cup for lunch and 1/2 of the sandwich for dinner with a 18 hours flight, so I never flight with them again. Japanese and Korea airlines are best, service and foods were good.

  I agree! Japanese & Korea airlines are the best. Even Cathay Pacific & Eva air aren’t bad. I love how everyone is nice and polite and very aconlinemodating they all are.
  But never never go with American Airlines on an international flight! Worst food and worser services.

  Which route was that American Airlines flight? What made their food the worst and their services even worse?

  I have an emotional attachment to AA. It is the first airline I remember seeing due to the Home Alone movies. I can look past certain flaws. I’m not super picky about food. I will take Japan Airlines to Japan only if they have true lie flat business seats. I can get authentic Japanese food in Japan. I refuse to spend 13+ hours in economy.

  I have to take a regional flight before I can get to a mainline flight. I live in Baton Rouge. I love DFW. I don’t want to go through Houston or Atlanta. My only other choice is Charlotte.

   Just flew American Airlines from GPT to DCA via Charlotte this week. Departing flight was delayed, making it a hustle to make my connecting flight. Although the gates were on different levels (of course, each all the way at the opposite ends of the terminal), Charlotte is a fairly small airport in onlineparison to either of Houston’s or ATL’s. What made traversing Charlotte’s airport easy for me was using the AA App to know exactly where I was going ahead of time and making use of the skywalks while in motion. At least it’s not so big that you have to take a tram or trolley to another terminal. Dependant on the season, I wouldn’t hesitate to transfer there again! Hope this helps. ENJOY YOUR TRIP! =)
