   Your picture with the jam is showing wide mouth jars. This is really not a great price and they are never $17.50 at Walmart. Some years Sam’s has the regular mouth pints for $5.99. Long time canner so I know the prices.

  Hi Lana! Thanks for the heads up about the picture, I’ve removed it! I’m not finding regular mouth jars for that price at Sam’s right now, but it sounds like a great price if you’re able to spot it!

   I just needed a few lids and found most of the canning items this morning, 50% off at Kroger (Ralphs here in Cali). I bought 4 Ball Jam Jars (8 oz) (which included their regular mouth lids), for a few bucks, and 12 Kerr wide mouth lids with bands for a few bucks as well. I had to have them price checked though since they were not ringing up with the full discounts. I was at the self-check out and glad I had a nice clerk to fix it.

   Last year I found a nice deal on Ball drinking jars, both wide mouth and regular, but they didn’t onlinee with lids. Regular size peanut butter jar lids fit the regular mouth pint size drinking jars but I was using plastic wrap on the quart size wide mouths when refrigerating them, so very glad to finally get the sale lids! All canning supplies go on sale eventually, if you are patient!

   These are only $6 for the 12 pack at my nearby store. There was a printable coupon a few weeks ago for $2 (I don’t know if it’s still available but some people may have printed it- it had a long expiration date). So I was able to get them for $4.

   In what universe does it cost $17? Dang. $11,96 at Walmart for Walmart, Kerr and Golden Harvest are better quality anyway
