I purchased a High Sierra backpack for my son years ago. He really overloaded it throughout high school since he didn’t have time to go to his locker. At the end of each year I contacted High Sierra customer service and they replaced his backpack with a new one since it had torn. Now that he is in college and carrying less of a load, the backpack lasted longer (either 2 or 3 years, I’m not sure) and I am waiting for yet another replacement to arrive in the mail. There is no guarantee that you will get the exact same backpack as the one you are replacing, but they will replace it with any price backpack that they currently have in stock. (This is true for backpacks without wheels. The warranty for the ones with wheels is different.)

And don’t think that their backpacks are not good quality since we needed to replace my son’s often. I own one for years that sees a whole lot less heavy duty than my son and I have never needed to replace it.

How do you do this? I was filling out the replacement form and it was going to cost me the same price of a new backpack to ship it back! I haven’t done it. Do you call them or do the form online?

        Chrissy,
I have never had to ship a bag back to High Sierra. They had me send pictures of the damage, then cut off the logo and the tags inside of the bag and send pictures of that. The replacement bag arrived shortly thereafter. I have bought High Sierra bags for my children ever since. It is so nice to have a onlinepany that stands behind their product!
