Anyone know if we can use our existing rewards to buy a product with rewards?

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi there! Their policy states that purchases made with Rewards do not qualify for Rewards. Hope that helps!

    • sue

You can buy so much through Office Depot. I wait until they email me a coupon for 30% or more off the total amount, which depending on what your buying can be a really good deal. That’s when I use my rewards.

  2. eringreen

can I use manufactures coupons here

    • Emma

      Yes you can.

  3. Ben

How does rewards work? This is not like a visa prepaid card right?

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

No. You will need to create an account to earn and redeem your rewards. They are issued the next day after the promotion posts and the reward certificates are valid for 60 days after the date of issuance. They can be redeemed at any Office Depot or OfficeMax store, online or by phone at 1.800.463.3768. Be sure to head to the link in the bottom of the post for additional details on Rewards. Hope that helps!

      • jennifer

okay… I’ve read it here and on their website, and I think I’m still not understanding the Rewards program… Say, you buy a pack of Sharpies. Then next day, you get that same cost back in your account to use for a future purchase (within 60 days)? But it’s not cash back, right? You can’t cash out that amount. So, if Sharpies cost $5, your account then will have $5 to use within 60 days.

        • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

          Yes, that is correct!

  4. Angie

Are you sure it it online, too? Under Deals on the website it is showing in store only for these.

    • Angie

Never mind. I always look to see if you list the store or .online at the beginning of the post. In this case, you listed it as .online so I assumed it was online.

      • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks for the heads up on that! Sorry for any confusion! We have removed the .online!

  5. MombieZombie

Do I have to print out that coupon page or can they scan it from my phone or is it somewhere in store?

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Nope! You do not have to print out the page. I just called in to my store to be sure! You can show the coupons on your phone and they will be able to use the code listed below the barcode to apply your offers. You can always call in to your location to be certain. Hope that helps!

  6. Sarah

Does anyone know if these purchases will qualify for the $10 minimum to recycle ink cartridges? I know purchases made with rewards don’t qualify but I want to make sure these do before I bring my cartridges in when I go tomorrow. Thanks!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi Sarah! We don’t find these to be excluded, however you could always call in to your store before heading in to be certain!

    • Becca

They should count! I have bought the 100% batteries before and it counted towards the min needed for ink recycling rewards!

  7. Becky

Are these rewards that have to be used in store as opposed to a rebate where you get money back?

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi Becky! Here are the details on redeeming rewards – “Reward certificates can be redeemed at any Office Depot or OfficeMax store, online or by phone at 1.800.463.3768.” 🙂

  8. Helen P

Could you please clarify, if coupon says “Limit N per member”, it means I can buy N times per one shopping trip? For example I buy 2 boxes of Tissues, I pay $8, and I receive $8 reward next day?

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

In that example you can only receive rewards on two boxes total. You could purchase more at that price, but you will only receive the rewards on two of them no matter how many shopping trips you make. Hope that helps! 🙂

      • Helen P

Thank you, Holly! I appriciate your efforts to explain me this!

        • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

          You’re very welonlinee!

  9. May

Can I use rewards to buy these and get back rewards?

    • Ihearthip

Sounds like you cannot use the rewards to purchase items that get rewards

  10. sue

My store was out of the Avery labels but she told me when they get more in on Tuesday they will still honor the 100% rewards.

  11. JenniferS

I just received a store coupon for $5.00 off $15.00 purchase. This would work well with the ream of printer paper that gives back 100% oop in rewards. Thanks Hip2Save for posting these great instore sales .

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You are so welonlinee!

  12. Shortee

The cashier didn’t scan the coupon when I bought the bonus rewards items. He said he doesn’t have to. Are they suppose to scan it or is it automatically applied to account?

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

You will need to scan the coupon. Hope that helps!

      • Marleah Umpleby

I just chatted with customer service and they said you don’t need to scan the coupon – I didn’t when I was there and he could see it’s processing for me.

  13. shelley

if I wanted to buy these items and use the rewards on Microsoft office suite would I be able to?

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I don’t see any restrictions on redeeming rewards other than that you can’t use them to purchase gift cards or prepaid cards. 🙂

  14. Rn

I would rather get a Visa or MC debit card. still a good deal otherwise

  15. Marie

I bought the two reems of paper and I also received a printed mail in rebate for $6 each on top of the scanned bonus rewards.
I have used rewards in the past to purchase rewards items and still got rewards back. Did they change it again?

  16. LS

Can I purchase everything( sticky notes, paper, tissues…)at once and get the rewards? Or is there a limit per day or purchase?

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Yes, you can!

  17. Debra

Bought the puffs yesterday and the rewards/purchase history is not posted today! Is it normal? My receipt has the coupon code and my rewards# on it, so I think the cashier did everything right.

    • Brandi

Same here – I purchased the paper yesterday and my rewards have not posted yet. My a full 24 hours?

    • sue

Did they scan your rewards coupons? I was in there yesterday and bought all the reward items and asked her to scan my coupons and she only scanned one of them. I said don’t you need to scan all of them and she told me no. Well she was wrong because I checked today and only have the rewards for the one she scanned. So now I have to go back to the store and have her scan all my coupons. Also the rewards usually are 24 hours.

  18. Vanessa Sharma

I bought the filler paper – 12 packs (the limit). However I only got rewards for 5. Did this happen to anyone?

    • Kirsten

That happened to me as well. I also only received rewards for 3 sets of Sharpies.

    • Traci

Same thing – for paper, looseleaf, and sharpie. I chatted with customer service online and they are looking into this. I would contact Office depot.

      • Vanessa Sharma

Thanks, I just contacted them. The rep told me he manually added it to my account and it show up in about 3 days.

  19. Marleah

I bought items Friday and still no rewards. When do they usually arrive?

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi there! Bonus rewards are issued the next day after the promotion posts and the reward certificates are valid for 60 days after the date of issuance. You could always call in to customer service for help!

  20. Sana

I have a coupon for 5 off 15 at Office Depot. It even works on sale and clearance. Looking for 40% off kohls coupon. Please email sanatauseef at gmail dot online

  21. ModMom

Hey all I bought two reams of paper at 8:00 PM Saturday night and I received my rewards this morning. My cashier did scan the coupon for my paper.

  22. Mindy

I bought the Sharpies, notebook paper, labels, and some toner yesterday. Wanted the post-its but they were out. The manager was very nice and offered to give me some onlineparable ones for free. So we took them all up, he rang them all in, and then put a discount of $75! (seriously….!) But what that did was reduce the price of every item I bought, so my rewards for the sharpies, for example, was not 3.99, it’s 3.21. Obviously not a huge deal on those, but it is on the expensive stuff. All together I was shorted 44.55. Will stop back in this week. Was very impressed with his customer service though!! 🙂

  23. Betty J

I made my in-store purchase on Friday. The rewards for the Sharpies and the filler paper posted today (Tuesday). I used the chat function, and a customer service rep posted the missing rewards for the Puffs Tissue.

  24. Amy knightley

oh man how did I miss this!? Do you think there will be other deals like this again?

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

DARN! Hopefully an similar deal pops up again soon!
