   If anyone is on the fence about these, this is a great price! We got ours during the Prime Day sale & it turned out regular LED TV into a Smart TV. It’s also great for traveling – we were able to watch a bunch of movies in our hotel.

  We bought one on Prime Day and we hooked it up to the dvd screen in our mini van to use on our trip to Florida. It kept the kids busy and entertained for hours. It gave them a lot more choices than simply watching dvds.

   Could someone tell me if the 4k Ultra HD pendant design worth the extra $15? I have a BB e-gc from ebates that would make the fire stick $7-8, with this deal but wanted to check before I made the purchase. Has new technology made/will make the stick obsolete in a few years?

  I would say yes, because it has (simply put) more power. But if you can find the 2nd generation Fire TV – that’s the best. Unfortunately, the pendant design replaced it and now it is considered older version.

  Why is that unit better? I know sometimes older models are better for various reasons, but haven’t seen any reasons to get that one over a new unit. I don’t think that 2nd gen one supports HDR, which might be a reason for some to look at a current gen one.

   So glad to see this! We just bought one on Prime dad and the kids have misplaced the remote! We have torn our house apart. I’m not convinced it didn’t make its way to the trash. It will be a good laugh to see where it turns up, if it turns up. Meanwhile, our Fire Stick is worthless. When it arrives I think I will permanently affix it to a something large.

  Download the remote app on your phone. Easy fix. I lost mine and just use my app. In the meantime, amazon put a credit on my acct to order a replacement. Just call and tell them what happened.

  I attached a strip of velcro to the back of my fire TV remote and the other side of the velcro to the table by my chair. That is the only remote I never misplace!

  You can also buy extra remotes through Amazon! We lost our remote and ended up buying an extra remote (Option if you dont want to download the app…)

   FYI – Best Buy uses UPS not USPS to ship items. If you have problems with UPS delivery like I do, you’re better off with target. (UPS exclusively delivers while I’m at work, wants me to pay extra to choose my delivery time, and then when I ask it to be sent to an access point they randomly choose one around the city —not the one I requested— which often have truncated hours or is so busy with college students it takes 30-45min for pick up. Here, UPS is a NIGHTMARE!)

  You can ask them to leave it somewhere it won’t be seen or a neighbors house. I have them leave mine in the back porch if I’m not home.
