The Dollar Tree by me said that you had to get them from the store in advance. I found that odd since I was there last week and they weren’t handing them out. I’m going to try a different location, but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem.

I know this won’t help you now, but I got the same reply…handed them out all week. So I asked the associate point blank, “So no coupons are being handed out today?” She must have been the supervisor/manager, because she went and wrote up on an index card that they would honor the discount. I was very thankful for that!
I’d be curious to find out if there was any kind of advance notice of this. ??

Google it. The reviews/onlinements I’ve read about it, tho not necessarily negative, make me wary of trying it. A buck seems like a good deal, but not if it ruins something expensive.

I bought it and my husband tried it…it does repel water but it does dry a milky white color so be careful what you use it on.

It seems like everytime Dollar Tree has a coupon like this it is only good on a Sunday…and I choose not to shop on Sundays. Maybe one day they’ll change it up.

Same here. I feel like the only reason they offer this coupon on Sunday, is to get customers in the door on their slowest day. I love Dollar Tree, bit will not shop on Sundays if I can help it

onlinemon sense tells us that stores open later and close earlier on their slowest day. Years of retail data and statistics show us that Sun & Tues afternoon are the slowest days.

I have seen that their packs of notebook paper are 200-sheets. Makes me feel old to remember, back in my day (I’m 46), most packs of paper were 200-count. We just didn’t know that we wanted half as many sheets, for twice the price – LOL

I shopped at the Dollar Tree the day they were handing out coupons but they already ran out ☹️ I called two other stores in the area and they ran out too. I asked if I could print one like the year before and was told they did away with the printed coupons. Frustrating!

I went to my store at opening and the lady was VERY snotty saying they would not be giving coupons out today.

I mean, I was the first person in the store.. it was not like she was asked 100x today… and I was very polite, just said, “Good morning, do you have any of the 10% coupons?” and she said NO THOSE ARE FOR FAMILY OR FRIENDS ONLY. NOT JUST PEOPLE WHO SHOW UP.

Oh wow, that’s nuts. Sorry that happened to you. You ARE part of F&F. You are a friend of Dollar Tree & heck if you shop there a lot, you are part of their family too, because your spending helps keep them in business. I’m sure many stores wish they had great “friends & family” supporting them so that they don’t have to close.
That’s how I view it & I work for a large retailer that feels the same way.

Even stranger, on the back of the coupon it gives instructions to the cashier and the reason code they are supposed to choose is “Customer appreciation”

The quickest way to tell a stores slowest day is by the hours they are open. On Sundays they are open the least amount of hours. Statistically Sunday is most stores slowest day. I worked in retail, analyzing data for 10 years.

They were NOT handing them out in the West Des Moines, IA store. Sounds like they were handing them out prior to today and wanted you to onlinee back today with the coupon.

Yep, my 2 Dollar Trees were the same – strictly saying that the coupons were handed out prior to today. Nono handed out today and NO exceptions. Well that just stinks! They would gave made a lot of money from me today – I am a teacher and need supplies – but I do have standards so I walked out!

I went and the cashier said yes it is family and friends she did not know where the coupons were and it is only on select items and she didn’t know what they were so basically there was no deal or discount today!!!!

Hmm, My store does have this event today, however you needed to have the coupon they gave out in store. There are none left today. It seems this offer might vary by location.

I went to two stores in Albuquerque NM. One store had a ton of coupons and automatically scanned the coupon for orders $10 and up. The other store only scanned if you asked and neither cashier knew how to enter the coupon code.

Just went to my nearest store in North Houston, TX and i had to ask Cashier for the coupon (no where was it advertised – only knew b/c of H2S. But when I checked out, she didnt ask me for the coupon, just rang up the code. I still have the coupon in hand to go back, if I want. I saved $20!

Thank you for letting us know about the coupon. I went today and the cashier knew nothing about it. She looked at me like I had 2 heads. Lol! I was persistent. she found one at the register but she called for manager to enter it because she didn’t have a clue!

Our Dollar Tree in Ohio is always tough to deal with, especially the manager. She said they handed the coups out last Monday. “I have one behind the counter and Im not supposed to give it to you but I will if you spend 10$.” I had a cart full of stuff for my daughter’s wedding. My clerk was so sweet but the manager–no.

Went to our dollar tree store today to take advantage of 10 percent off on entire purchase. I asked the clerk for the required coupon and she told me they were handed out to customers yesterday .. the 14 th even though you could not use them until today the 15 th. She continued to say that even if she had a coupon she could not give it to me .. what ??? Very bad customer service.

I went to dollar tree today and spent $32 and the checker hadn’t heard anything about it and her manager said she hadn’t heard anything about it though a couple people had onlinee in with the coupon and a bunch of others had asked about it.

I went there today with the coupon I received yesterday. I wasnt able to use that coupon with my manufacturer coupon. It was on or the other 🙁 the register would accept it and manager didn’t override it.

I also had problems getting a coupon. Heard several different reasons but did not get a coupon. I Facebooked a message to Dollar Tree and told them about my issues and also sent them a link to this page showing other people having problems. This was their response to me-“Hi Camelia – Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please send us the address of the store you visited. We will then share your message with our Regional Director to address. Thank you.”. Maybe if we all send them messages about how this deal was dealt with, maybe next time they will do it differently.

This was a disappointing “friends and family event” we went to two stores today and neither store had the coupons. Not would they scan their copy for us even though we intended to spend well over $100 on school supplies.

I go to my store quite often. The manager recognizes me and if they have a person available, i ask for a cashier to check me out so as not to hold up the line that builds up behind me. I spend A LOT there b/c of the daycare I own. It was nice seeing everything on the receipt .90 cents each.

I was surprised there wasn’t that many ppl in the store when I went there this evening. There is usually only one register open with a long line. I was able to get out pretty quickly, though the cashier was new and had trouble using the register. She was very polite, though. I found the coupon at the end of the registers last week. No one mentioned it to me otherwise.

I went today and was disappointed. Half the associates didn’t know anything about the coupon and the other few said that they only gave them out yesterday, not today. I still bought a few items I needed, but ended up spending far less than I otherwise would have with that coupon. Oh well.
