Thank you so much for creating this!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re very welonlinee!

  2. Allison

Yay!!! Thank you for doing this! (I asked for it on the Staples/Office Depot post last week, but I’m sure you already had it in the works 🀣)

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re most welonlinee, Allison! πŸ˜‰

  3. Just passing through

I don’t believe crayola crayons have been 25 cents in the past 2 yrs. Believe the bottom price is now 50 cents.

    • Shoppingfan

I was going to say the same thing. My Crayola vendor told us that they more than likely won’t see prices that low exp with the new tariff bill. WM May do it but it’s more than likely no go.

    • nel

I got 4 pks last year for $0.25 each, but I don’t remember where… maybe Office Depot.

    • mac

I think last year toys r us had them for .25 I price matched at staples. I guess we know toys r us won’t have them this year. πŸ˜›

  4. riss

Check your email from Staples. I just got a $10 off $20 or more on school supplies purchase πŸ™‚

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Oh awesome! Thanks for sharing!

  5. Sara

Also, keep an eye out at Dirt Cheap. It goes fast, but they have some decent prices on school supplies. I can’t say that I’ve seen Crayola products there. If they get them, I miss it every time.

  6. Steph

Our school doesn’t do lists anymore. You just pay a $25 fee at the beginning of the school year and all supplies are provided for. I do still like to contribute extra to the teacher when I onlinee across good deals throughout the year though.

    • Jessica P.

I wish my kids school would do this! The best they offer is a service where you can order supplies that get mailed to the school…but seeing as they charge $60+ for my 1st grader and $40+ for my 6th grader I buy my own!

    • Just passing through

Our school had a $35 fee per kid in addition to a school supply list. I prefer a list even if it’s name brand cuz I know I can get it cheaper and just don’t have confidence that my school is looking for the best prices.

    • Laura

My school does this. As a teacher, I love it so much. I can buy exactly what I need, in the brands I have found to last longest. I can shop sales, buy in bulk, and shop from onlinepanies/organizations that the general public don’t necessarily have access to (especially because I teach in a low inonlinee area so there are free resources available). This means I can stretch my budget really far and am well resourced for the year.

  7. Daisy_Libran

I agree Jessica, my kids school uses a third-party service too, they are very expensive and i checked which brands they would include guess what all staples store brands for full price, no thanks!

  8. Lara

    Awesome list, thank you!

I’m a brand brat on some items (5 star poly folders are the only ones that last us for a year or more) but couldn’t do the school buy/mail program knowing that they wanted $150 for two kids and I could do it for half.

  9. Mishelle

    Awesome list. Thank you

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You’re SO welonlinee!

  10. Natalie

I’m on the lookout for a TI -83 or TII – 84 calculator. I’ve never seen them lower than $80, so I”m wondering which grafting calculator was only $69?

  11. Becca

I’m trying to stock up on office supply items for my business. Is there any reonlinemendation on the 10 pack reams of papers? Is there a better store to be looking a the ads for?

    • Rachel

Try Amazon for paper. Once in a while they have pretty good deals – last time I had to buy legal size paper they were $20 cheaper a case from Amazon than from staples.

  12. Jennifer

Looking for the best place to buy dry erase markers! I don’t think I’ve ever seen them as low as 25Β’ each!

    • Hollie

I just bought the Office Depot brand for $3 and you got 5.

    • Impactbrianna

Last year Walgreens had some for $0.99 in August. But I can’t remember if it was a 2 count or a 4 count.

    • Laura

I have found them at Ollie’s for that price. As a teacher, I spend $1-$1.25 per marker and buy Staedtler. I have found that they last so much longer than expo/bic etc and they still work after a day with no cap, which is a miracle! I spend less of my class budget on markers when I did this.

I use cheaper ones for the kids because they tend to be more destructive. The past three years I have taught elementary math and went through about 200-300 whiteboard markers a year for the kiddos.

  13. frugal lady2

Hi there! What’s everyone’s price point on glue sticks? I didn’t see glue sticks from Collin’s list or maybe I missed it? TIA

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi there! They are under craft/project items at 25Β’ each! Hope that helps!

  14. Mari

The graphics on the list is cute but is there a way to make it more printer friendly?

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks for the feedback on the list! I will be sure to pass it along to the team! πŸ™‚

    • Emily (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi Mari, thank you for that suggestion! We’ve made a second version of the list without the graphics β€” you can check out that version here or find it near the bottom of the post. Happy shopping! 😁

  15. jan j

thank you so much for this list. very helpful!

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You’re quite welonlinee, jan!

  16. Christine

Prices like this are why I NEVER buy schools supplies through the PTA!

  17. Ameli

Where can this be used? Anywhere?

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Yes! It includes guidelines so you can know what is a stock up deal and what isn’t!

  18. Melissa

I’m looking for a primary onlineposition notebook. I keep seeing sales on wide ruled &college ruled, but not primary. The cheapest I see is $2.99 at Staples. Also I need to find what’s a good price for assorted color card stock. Thank you for any help. πŸ™‚

    • Tiffany Craig

The primary books get down to $1 typically. That is the least I’ve paid for them in recent years at Office Depot.

    • Stacy Terwilliger

Colored cardstock at Michaels is $2.00 a package (50 sheets) quite often, and they have tons of assortments and usually have coupons on top of that!

  19. Iamdymphna25

I signed up for swagbucks today but am still confused on how it works pls I new help

  20. Sandy

Does anyone know of any HP ink deals? Ink is so expensive! TIA.

  21. Angie Styles

I do their automatic monthly subscription. I pay $9.99 each month and am sent ink as the printer runs low. No matter how many copies, I pay $9.99/month. I signed up at office depot.
