I’ve been snorkeling for 40 years (since I was a young lad) and I’ve used snorkeling sets both cheap and expensive. For the price, the KUSKY Snorkel Mask is a great buy.
If you are just casually snorkeling on the surface (as most do), this is a great mask. It allows you to break from your nose (which took me a little getting used to) or your mouth. I actually use it to swim laps and it’s very good for that, too.
While I haven’t tested it in the ocean yet, I have been using it in my pool and simulated a dive to 6 feet. It did leak a bit at that depth and I could feel the pressure building. So if you like to free dive while snorkeling, I’d advise a more traditional mask and snorkel — one that allows you to pressurize your ears by holding your nose and blowing gently.
If you don’t plan on free diving below 6 feet or so, then I’d reonlinemend this mask. It feels a bit like a space helmet and I like that. The GoPro bracket works great. I’ve already captured some classic footage of my dogs swimming and splashing about the pool.
