I highly reonlinemend looking into timeshare offerings to see if they may be an option as there are multiple of these and they are often reasonable for several nights. Vrbo.online, ebay are some places that we have booked through before and no extra room taxes so often the price you pay is it.
I have stayed at the Woodlands Hotel at Colonial Williamsburg a couple of times. It was very good and reasonable (for the area!). Good free breakfast, nice pool and splash area for kids. Walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg. I have also stayed at Historic Powhatan Resort. It was also very reasonable. It was a condo with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, and living area. The resort also has excellent amenities including a couple of pools, play area, etc. It was about a 15 minute drive from Colonial Williamsburg.
We were just there 2 weeks ago and stayed at Woodlands Hotel and Suites. It was reasonable and very nice. It was also very clean and a lot of amenities.
I purchased the hopper Groupon deal last year and it was fantastic! My boys loved it. There is a great indoor laser tag nearby that my boys still rave about!
My boys are in their teens so we did the laser tag twice, putt putt and go carts. We also went downtown Williamsburg to check out the historical sites. They had a blast!
The Jamestown Settlement (Living History Museum – not the National Park) is amazing! Highly reonlinemend. Our kids are ages 6 & 7, and we loved seeing history onlinee to life. Colonial Williamsburg is incredible as well!
