   I need to buy a tank. Does anyone know how much they cost? I’ve seen the ones at Costco for $29.99 and seems to have some safety features. How does the Costco ones onlinepare to Blue Rhino? Thanks

  Lowe’s has a new tank of Blue Rhino for $49.97. The $14.98 price is if you already own a tank and need a refill.

  My understanding is that the Costco ones are sold empty – you still have to fill them. The coupon works on refills or new tanks – might want to call around stores near you, my Fred meyer sells the news ones cheaper than lowes. HTH!

  I think Sams and Walmart has the cheapest price around. If I’m not mistaken it’s around $45+ .

  I would check Craigslist or offerup (I would not pay more than 15)… Condition does not matter because you exchange tanks when you buy propoane. Costco tank would not matter for safety also tank is empty..

  I’d agree with Evan. Don’t make my dumb mistake (1st time homeowner and thus grill owner at the time) and go into your local Home Depot or Lowes to buy a brand new shiny tank for like $30+ only to walk outside and immediately exchanged it for a prefilled old, rusty tank. Felt so dumb doing that.

  You can buy the tank at Costco, then exchange it for a Blue Rhino tank, if you don’t already have a tank.
