Fishing nets
Another toy section find! While technically it’s a butterfly net, you could totally use this as a pool scoop to retrieve items in a pinch! That said, you may want to reinforce the netted scoop to the handle with some duck tape in case it onlinees loose from getting wet.
Plastic pencil pouches
These plastic pencil pouches are great for transporting wet swim suits. Kids can change at the pool, tuck their wet suits inside and zip them up!
Pool noodles
So. Many. Noodles. You can obviously use them as intended (as a floating pool toy), but check out these awesome DIYs you can make with them, too!
Pool Noodle Tennis Rackets
Using a pool noodle, scissors, some duct tape, and a mesh bag, you can create pool noodle tennis rackets by following along with this simple DIY by In The Know Mom. Use them to knock around soaker splash balls or water balloons!
Pool Noodle Luminaries
How cute are these floating candles by Create Craft Love! By cutting noodles into chunks, wrapping some plastic wrap around the bottom of a battery-operated tealight candle (also available at Dollar Tree), and wedging the candle into the noodle opening, you’ve got the most adorable floating luminaries to light up your pool at night!
Pool Noodle Sprinkler
Such an easy and fun DIY! Just poke holes in the pool noodle, cover one end with duct tape, and then insert the hose in the opposite end. Then turn on the water and enjoy!
You could even hang the sprinkler over a tree limb so that the water shoots out horizontally. Just make sure to secure the noodle with some duct tape around the inserted end so it doesn’t slip off.
