6 Best Ways to Save Over 50% On Your Next Michaels Trip
Everything you want – at half the cost!
There’s a special place in my ❤ for Michaels! And we know our readers feel the same. That’s why we’ve rounded up the best ways to save AT LEAST 50% on your next shopping trip at Michaels!
1. Use Michaels onlinepetitors to your advantage.
Did you happen to onlinee across an exceptional 50% or 60% off coupon for one of Michaels’ onlinepetitors? Bring that bad boy in and use it! Please note there are some pretty standard conditions, but a lengthy list of stores are eligible – like Hobby Lobby, JoAnn, A.C. Moore, Ben Franklin, Athome.online, Kmart, and more.
2. Jump on the one- and two-day sales.
Check out the weekly Michaels website ad to save up to 70% on everything from frames to seasonal faux foliage and craft organizers. You’ll also be alerted to these sales when you sign up for their daily emails!
3. Search the clearance racks for deals.
Never leave the store without giving the clearance section a quick look. Chances are you’ll find some past seasonal decor and low inventory items marked down by 50% off or more!
4. Check for holiday savings 2 weeks before (and the day after).
We’re so used to seasonal products only being discounted once the holiday has passed. Fortunately, Michaels will host sales of up to 60-70% off 2 weeks before the holiday. That said, you’ll find the greatest savings (up to 80% off) the day after – and it’s best to get there sooner rather than later for the best selection.
5. Give “grab bags” a shot.
While you can’t really tell what’s in these grab bags (or boxes), they’re usually past season items that have been clearanced out. At only $4 a box, you’re getting goods normally valued at around $30 or more – that’s a little over 80% off! The Hip2Save team loves these, and while we may not be crazy about all the items (I didn’t need a stuffed bird), it always ends up being worth it for the stuff we ❤!
6. Get your Christmas tree for cheap the week before Thanksgiving.
Instead of waiting until after the holidays, Michaels has a fall sale on artificial Christmas trees typically the week before Thanksgiving. You can expect to see savings at around 50% to 60% off!
