It’s supposed to be 100% goes toward red nose.

Hi Laureen! Here is what I find in the details about Red Nose Day – “”Walgreens is donating 50Β’ on every $1 sale to various exempt organizations but that has no bearing on the original sales made at the cash register.” Hope that helps!

    • jeswags

100 percent of cash donations goes to it. 50 percent of ITEM sales such as a nose does, only because it’s covering manufacturer/supplier costs for the party that doesn’t go toward it. Airway that’s what I’m told at my store haha

      • jeswags

Jeez autocorrect. Part and anyway were the words I was going for πŸ˜€

  2. riss

If Walgreens really want to help, they should just give help, not sell stuff and only half goes to charity. They’re over-priced anyway. And then they get the tax write-off for charitable contributions. I’d rather give to my preferred charity, and get a tax wrote-off. (Not for a dollar, though πŸ˜‰ Off my soapbox now…and ducking πŸ™‚

      (Claps really loud for riss).

Actually, we do, every event that goes on, my store jumps on it, the 28th is the diabetes walk we’re doing. Giving out our brand of water to everyone, participating in the event and we donate. Don’t be so quick to jump the gun there

If anyone is interested they did a love actually 2 kind of thing that’s red nose day actually. It’s only 16 min and you can find it online but most of the same actors are in it. It’s cute. They did it to promote Red Nose Day in England where I think it started? It’s cute video.
