Make These CUTE Dollar Tree Mother’s Day Photo Vases
Need a pretty Mother’s Day craft idea?
How about making mom a DIY personalized photo vase to display flowers? The best part is, you can pick up almost all of the supplies at the Dollar Tree!
This craft is based on simply using a label or sticker to create a “frame” for your photo after the vase is painted. My Dollar Tree had numerous shapes and options that would work for this project. You can also use a glass jar instead of a vase if desired.
Supplies Needed :
- clear glass vase or jar
- adhesive labels or stickers
- spray paint
- photo
- flowers
Directions:
1.) Place a sticker on the outside of the vase where you’d like to display your photo.
2.) Spray paint the outside of the vase. The key to spray paint is to spray a light coat, let dry, and spray another light coat. (I used Rustoleum spray paint in copper rose and robin’s egg blue.)
3.) Once onlinepletely dry, remove the stickers. You’ll now have a little frame for photos!
4.) Tape your photos to the inside of the vase.
5.) Arrange flowers inside of the vase. You can use faux flowers or fresh, it’s up to you! If using fresh, protect your photograph by placing your fresh flowers in a small cup with water first, then place inside of the vase.
Hip Tip: If you use faux flowers from Dollar Tree, onlinebine similar colors, trim them down in height, and remove some of the greenery to give them a more trendy look.
These dollar store vases turned out super cute!
How fun would it be to display these at a Mother’s Day gathering, and then give them as a gift. I think my mom will like the one with all of her grandkids! So fun! You can also use these as an inexpensive centerpiece idea for weddings, showers, graduations, etc. Such a cute and thoughtful gift idea, too!
