   I don’t have this brand, I have one that I payed much more for, but I can tell you it does work! The only downside is that it can be pretty messy especially if you have a power toothbrush! Lol. I actually use mine as a face mask as well. I add the powder to a little bit of Aloe Vera and apply to my skin. It really helps with enlarged pores and acne.

  How often do you use it? I got some about 3 weeks ago but I haven’t noticed s difference. I’ve only used it once per week though because I’m afraid it will be too abrasive. I have very sensitive teeth which is why I opted for this instead of whitening strips. Maybe I need to use it more often to see a difference?

   This seems so odd, but I’m going to give it a try. I’ve never tried any teeth whitening products. This price seems great and it seems easy to do. Hope I’m satisfied. Thanks for posting.

   I also bought a little more expensive brand. It does work. I bought one that came with a black bristled tooth brush. Helps to keep the water running for the mess but well worth it. Just make sure you follow the instructions.

  That’s what i do. I add it to a glass jar of coconut oil and just grab a glob once a week. I also add cinnamon or peppermint essential oils for the flavor and health properties of the oils

   I would use caution w this. I heard about this a few years ago and did some research. I also talked to a friend who is a dentist. The charcoal is highly abrasive. It can work on surface stains but not well on deep stains. So, my dentist friend suggested that if I were going to do it that I use a lot of caution with the scrubbing of the teeth during the process, so not to wear down my enamel quickly. Those who scrub their teeth w it are wearing down their enamel due to it’s natural abrasiveness. He said to very lightly brush it over the teeth. My research came up w similar information.

  I saw a review of this on the news the other day and they said the same thing: It wears down your enamel on teeth
  it does whiten your teeth but you will have permanent damage to your teeth. Not worth it to me, I would rather use coconut oil. Google coconut oil pulling it does wonders for healthy teeth and gums and also whitens your teeth and all natural no side effects!

  From what I’ve read, it seems activated charcoal is not any more abrasive than most whitening toothpastes:

  Relative Dentin Abrasivity (RDA) is a guide to measure abrasiveness for all FDA approved dental products and the FDA reonlinemends a score of 200 or below. Activated charcoal powder scores about a 70 to 90 on the RDA scale while most whitening toothpastes score between 100 to 200 RDA.

  Here’s an article on the topic with several products and brands listed at the bottom of the page (no activated charcoal though), surprisingly baking soda is much less abrasive than any toothpaste.

  yep, dentist said the same thing. Once enamels gone that’s it. There is just not enough long term study for this yet so best to stay away.

    I tried this and really hated it. The charcoal gets under your gum line when you brush with if and then you have to floss it out and just yuck. I was excited to try it because of all the positive reviews but for me it was a fail.

    This is really no different than using baking soda or any other abrasive substance on your teeth…you will wear away your enamel and once that happens, you’re out of luck. Whitening toothpastes & mouthwashes also don’t work very well b/c they aren’t in contact with your teeth long enough. Skip this stuff and use the Crest White Strips Professional Effects (or get in-office whitening done) if you really want to see some results!
