Caution! These 5 Instant Pot Models May Be Too Hot to Handle

Heads up, hotties! (no pun intended)
Due to alleged overheating, Instant Pot is cautioning users of its Gem 65 8-in-1 Multicooker oval model to stop using affected models with the following batch codes: 1728, 1730, 1731, 1734, and 1746. Customers have reported the underside of the Instant Pot getting way too hot and melting. Yikes!
Have one of these affected Instant Pots? Here’s What you should do…
- Look for 4-digit batch code on the silver label on the bottom of the pot.
- If you own one of the affected batch codes, stop using it immediatly.
- Contact Instant Pot’s customer service department by emailing [email protected] or by calling 1-800-828-7280. (According to Consumer Reports, callers may receive a faster response than those emailing.)
- At this time affected customers are being offered a replacement Gem 65 8-in-1 Multicooker.
