I purchased an air fryer around Christmas, and I’m really struggling to find healthy recipes! We don’t eat too many pre-prepared things out of a bag. It doesn’t seem very convenient, and I’d love some H2S reader feedback on places to find ideas and recipes. Help me change my mind about my purchase… I know air fryers are a big hit for a lot of people!

Have you tried researching recipes and tips on Pinterest?

    • Ph

Try YouTube for ideas. Google will also be a great help.

I don’t use mine because cleaning is a pain. Everything sticks, no matter how I try to avoid it.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh bummer! That does sound like a pain Tolu! Thanks for the honest onlinement!

I have the Philips air fryer and it’s the 1st onlinepany I believe to start making them and it’s the best!.. I reonlinemend it to everyone! Cooks chicken and meats quicker and makes it so juicy and crispy and tasty, I’ve hardly used my oven since..No oil needed! And reheating left overs and pizza also awesome, makes everything taste like new again. No microwave.

    • Kim

What temp and how much time for reheating pizza?

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Awesome to hear how many yummy items you have been able to make Nina! I sure need to get one!

We absolutely love ours! We bought Philips XL. After much research and YouTube videos, Philips is the best! It is the most expensive but worth it. We have cooked several healthy items: rotisserie chicken, chicken wings, chicken breast, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, veggies! Egg sandwiches, quesadillas, create own pita pizzas! We bought the fry pan and it is super easy to clean and it is non stick!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Wow! Thanks a ton for the helpful review Kaln! I didn’t think to look up any YouTube Videos on these. Great idea!

My husband bought me ours for Christmas and we love it! He actually uses it more than me! Okay by me haha… we cook or recook in it. Bacon is our new fave. We were never really a fried food family and generally cooked in the oven so this is just more convenient.

I have had mine for over 4 years and have yet to use it. You can bet I’m going to now.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh good! Hoping you love it!

  7. Jane

I too have had mine for four years now. Amazing appliance. I use it for everything from roasting peanuts, frying tofu, making only a couple of cupcakes, personal pizza. And this is an unbelievable price

  8. Rita

I love using the air fryer & yes cleanup can be Little work…so I experimented with a few things…
I line the bottom of the tray with aluminum foil… (cut it to fit & don’t leave it to touch the heating element on top).
The basket can also be tough to clean.
Size the paper to the toaster oven tray and use scissors to cut it down if necessary.

Place the parchment paper in the basket and make sure it’s not hanging over the edges or in a position where it could touch the heating element of the toaster. Though it is designed not to burn in oven heat, it will burn if directly touching a heat source. I will either wrap the item I am cooking with parchment paper or I will cut it to fit the food. Again since it has a fan that can blow the parchment paper…cut it down… or it will obviously catch fire when it touches the heating element… Do Not cover the whole basket since you want the air to circulate while cooking.

One last thing it do- If there is spillage, fill the tray with hot water and a little Cascade onlineplete and let it soak over night…cleanup is so much easier

What’s the size of this air fryer? It’s not listed.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hmm, here is what I find listed in the details:
      Capacity basket
      0.8 kg
      AND
      Dimensions of product (LxWxH)
      287 x 315 x 384 mm

      Hope that helps!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)
